Huawei has announced the launch of Huawei Nova 8 Pro and Nova 8 smartphones in China. The highlight of the Nova 8 series is the integration of Kirin 985 processor coupled with quad rear cameras. Moreover, the handset provides support for 5G, which means the device is future proof. You will be able to enjoy the mobile experience as and when 5G is introduced. We don’t have any confirmation as to whether the company will release the device globally. However, we expect the arrival of the smartphone with another name in India.
Huawei Nova 8 Pro
The Huawei Nova 8 Pro boasts a 6.72-inch FHD+ OLED display with a resolution of 2676×1236 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. On the internals, the Nova 8 Pro is integrated with Kirin 985 processor alongside 8GB RAM and up to 256GB internal storage. The device is pre-loaded with EMUI 11 based on Android 10 operating platform.
Talking about the optics, the Nova 8 Pro comprises a 64MP primary sensor, an 8Mp ultra-wide-angle sensor, and 2MP depth and macro sensors respectively. The selfie camera offers 32MP ultra-wide and 16MP portrait sensors respectively enclosed in the left corner. In addition to Wi-Fi, the Nova 8 pro provides support for Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, GPS, and other connectivity features. The addition of USB Type-C port enables you to charge the device quickly. The handset is pre-loaded with a 4000mAh battery with support for 66W fast charging technology.
Huawei Nova 8
The Huawei Nova 8 flaunts a 6.57-inch OLED FHD+ display with a resolution of 2340×1080 pixels and a 90Hz refresh rate. Even though the specifications of the rear camera are identical to that of the Pro version, the selfie segment features a 32MP sensor embedded inside the hole-punch module. The handset borrows power via a 3800mAh battery with support for 66W fast charging technology.
Pricing & Availability
The Huawei Nova 8 Pro is available in 128GB and 256GB storage capacities with 8GB RAM. While the 128GB storage model is priced at CNY 3999, the 256GB storage variant is u for grabs at CNY 4399. The Nova 8 with 128GB storage will be up for sale for CNY 3299, while the 256GB storage model is priced at CNY 3699. The devices will be available for purchase starting January 7, 2021, via Vmall, which is the official Huawei channel partner in China.
