OPPO has announced the launch of OPPO A53 5G smartphone in India. The highlight of the OPPO A53 handset is the addition of Dimensity 720 processor coupled with a 90Hz refresh rate. The handset ships with triple rear cameras, which enables you to capture efficient images. The company has slashed the battery capacity to 4040mAh instead of the 5000mAh in 4G variant of the Oppo A53 smartphone.

The OPPO A53 5G smartphone boasts a 6.5-inch FHD+ display with a resolution of 2400×1080 pixels and 480-nits brightness. The addition of 90Hz refresh rate enables you to switch between several apps and play games quickly. Under the hood, the OPPO A53 is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 720 processor, 6GB RAM, and 128GB internal storage. We don’t have any confirmation as to whether the device includes an expandable memory card slot. The smartphone is pre-loaded with ColorOS 7.2 based on Android 10 operating platform.
Talking about the optics, the OPPO A53 5G consists of a 16MP primary camera, 2MP depth, and 2MP macro sensors respectively. The camera is supported by AL and LED Flash. On the front, you will find a paltry 8MP sensor, which is a significant downgrade from the 4G variant. The device borrows power via a 4040mAh battery, which enables you to experience an extended backup time. In addition to all connectivity features, the 5G variant of the OPPO A53 provides support for a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and a dedicated headphone port.

The OPPO A53 5G with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage is priced at RMB 1299, which is equivalent to Rs 14600. The device will be available for sale in China starting December 21. You will be able to opt for Lake Green, Black, and Purple color variants.
