Here’s how you can install the freshly baked Android 11 update on your smartphone

Google recently rolled out Android 11 update with new features. You can install Android 11 not only in Google Pixel smartphones but also in non-Pixel devices. With Android 11, you will be able to manage connected devices and work with refreshed media controls. The platform will deliver enhanced notifications and Bubbles messaging functionality. In this article, we will examine how to install the newly baked Android 11 properly.

Do you want to know when you will receive the update? Well. It all depends upon your device manufacturer. If you are working with Xiaomi, Realme, OnePlus, Vivo, Nokia, Oppo smartphones, you will most likely receive Android 11 operating platform.

Google Pixel

Google has started to push Android 11 via the public beta program. If you work with Google Pixel, you need to navigate to System | Advanced | System update | Check for update. If you are unable to view the appearance of the new update, then you should ideally wait until the company pishes the software bits over OTA. According to Google, the whole update process will be slow and hence it could take weeks for the new Android 11 update notification to appear on your device. OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro

OnePlus has launched an open beta of OxygenOS 11 update for the flagship OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro smartphones. Even though the installation process will not cause any harm to your device, it’s advisable to capture a backup of important data and media files. You can easily download the relevant file on your OnePlus smartphone and make use of the OnePlus file manager app to move the file to the root storage folder. You can also download the file to your PC and transfer the file to your phone for the purpose of installation. You will find several errors with the beta version of the OxygenOS 11 but you can report it to the product team.


HMD Global has confirmed that the company will release Android 11. We don’t have an exact timeline but the launch could probably happen before the end of 2020.


Oppo will announce the arrival of ColoOS 11 on September 14. The company has opened limited beta access for the Oppo Find X2, Oppo Find X2 Pro, and the 4G variants of the Oppo Reno3 and Reno3 Pro smartphones.


Xiaomi will roll out Android 11 for the Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro devices. The company has already launched a beta program for early adopters.

It is advisable to activate Wi-Fi to download the Android 11 update. You should also completely charge the device before proceeding to download the update. If your smartphone is under 30 percent battery, then you should connect the device to the AC power source to avoid interruption.


No doubt, Android 11 ships with plenty of new features and improvements. Going forward, we can expect the arrival of Android 11 on all major smartphones.
