Xiaomi has launched Redmi Note 8 series in China. Dubbed as a successor to the Redmi Note 7 Pro, the upcoming Redmi Note 8 series features quad cameras with a refreshed design. The main highlight of the Redmi Note 8 Pro is the integration of 64MP sensor, while the Redmi Note 8 features a 48MP sensor.

Xiaomi has embedded Helio processor instead of Snapdragon in the Redmi Note 8 Pro. However, the standard Redmi Note 8 ships with Snapdragon processor. The fingerprint sensor is mounted on the rear side and the display is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The handset is pre-loaded with MIUI 10 based on Android Pie operating platform.

The Redmi Note 8 is equipped with a 6.39-inch FHD+ (2340×1080, 19.5:9, 90% screen-to-body ratio) water-drop notch display, Snapdragon 665 processor, 4GB/6GB RAM coupled with 64GB/128GB expandable internal storage. You will be able to extend the storage via microSD card.

Redmi Note 8

On the rear, the Redmi Note 8 bears four cameras comprising of 48MP (Sony IMX586) primary sensor, 8MP ultra-wide-angle sensor, 2MP macro sensor, and 2MP portrait sensor. The front side offers a 13MP sensor, which is embedded deep inside the notch.

The smartphone borrows power via the integrated 4000mAh battery with support for 18W technology. In addition to 4G LTE, the Redmi Note 8 provides support for all major sensors, headphone port, and IR blaster.

The Redmi Note 8 will be available for purchase starting September 17 in China. The 4GB RAM with 64GB storage is priced at CNY 999, while the 6GB RAM variant with 64GB storage cost CNY 1199. If you would like to buy the premium 128GB storage model, you should shell out CNY 1399.

Redmi Note 8 Pro

The Redmi Note 8 Pro features a 6.53-inch FHD+ (2340×1080, 19.5:9) water-drop notch display, MediaTek Helio G90T processor, 6GB/8GB RAM, 64GB/128GB expandable internal storage powered by a 4500mAh battery. The smartphone provides support for Game Turbo 2.0 mode paired with liquid cooling technology. You will experience less heat even during extreme gaming performance.

The main attraction of Redmi Note 8 Pro is the integration of a 64MP Samsung ISOCELL Bright GW-1 primary sensor. The other three sensors are identical to that of the Redmi Note 8. The selfie segment offers a 20MP sensor, which is higher than offered by Redmi Note 8.

The handset provides support for 18W fast charging technology. The USB Type-C port helps you to quickly charge the device. The IR blaster enables you to operate TV and DTH. The Redmi Note 8 Pro is also resistant to water via IP52 technology.

The Redmi Note 8 Pro will be available from September 3. The 6GB RAM with 64GB storage model is priced at CNY 1399, while the 128GB storage model will cost CNY 1599. The premium 8GB RAM model with 128GB storage is priced at CNY 1799.

We don’t have any information as to when Xiaomi will launch Redmi Note 8 series in India. The company India ZCEo toom to Twitter and revealed that the phone will launch after three months after completing all formalities.
