OnePlus is gearing up to launch the next-generation OnePlus 6 in May. According to rumors floating on the web, the OnePlus 6 could ship with a ceramic back panel manufactured using premium materials.
The company took to Twitter and disclosed the information that the upcoming OnePlus 6 will feature same expert craftsmanship coupled with new materials. The image reveals a shiny and glossy surface with the tagline Designed by OnePlus.
The addition of a ceramic back panel will change the benchmarks in the smartphone segment because only few premium devices are equipped with the similar material.

Meanwhile, Amazon has created an exclusive OnePlus 6 teaser page. If you click Notify Me option, you will receive an automated notification with offers from Amazon.
The page also includes a video, which shows the power of the upcoming smartphone including articles and reviews snippets. You will also find images from launch events, OnePlus experience stores and address related information.
Talking about the previous counterparts, the company designed OnePlus 5 series with an aluminum back. The design will be more or less same with Super Optic AMOLED display and will have a bezel-less structure. Moreover, you will also find a notch on the top side, which accommodates a front-facing camera and the required sensors.
The main highlight of the OnePlus 6 will be the addition of wireless charging. We don’t have any information about as to whether the company will bundle the charging kit but it will be made available as an optional accessory.
According to sources, the OnePlus 6 will also feature a glass back if the company decides not to adopt the ceramic back. There is a possibility that the premium 256GB storage model could offer a ceramic back with the default 64GB model shipping with the standard aluminum design.
Talking about the specifications, the OnePlus 6 will offer a 6-inch Super AMOLED display, Snapdragon 845 processor, up to 8GB RAM, up to 256GB storage enclosed in a water-resistant body.
We will continue to monitor the developments associated with OnePlus 6 and provide you with updates. Stay tuned.
