HTC will most likely launch the HTC U12+ flagship smartphone in 2018 and will not launch any other devices. According to reports, HTC will only launch HTC U12+ and will be tagged as a high-end smartphone. The main reason for the company to take this step is because of the fact that the product team is planning to streamline the portfolio and product range.
If the report is found to be true, then the company won’t release a standard variant of HTC U12 including U Play and U Ultra series. THere are reports that the company could launch HTC U12 Life, which will be a budget-friendly smartphone.
According to rumors, the HTC U12+ will be equipped with a 6-inch WQHD+ display, Snapdragon 845 processor, 6GB RAM, 64GB?128GB expandable internal storage loaded with Android 8.1 oreo. The big attraction of the upcoming HTC U12+ will be the possible integration of dual cameras on both rear and front side.
On the rear, you will find dual camera sensors comprising of 16MP and 12MP sensors. The selfie camera will offer dual 8MP cameras. Based on the latest trends, the company will infuse a 4000mAh battery with power saving features.
Meanwhile, HTC had launched Desire 12 and Desire 12 Plus smartphones in Europe with 18:9 display. The HTC Desire 12 is equipped with a 5.5-inch HD+ display, MediaTek MT6739 processor, a 13MP camera coupled with a 5MP front-facing camera. The Plus variant will feature a slightly higher 6-inch HD+ display, Snapdragon 450 processor, dual 13MP and 2MP sensors aired with an 8MP sensor.
