We have only seen smartphones with up to 8GB RAM. However, Nubia has released RedMagic 6 Pro smartphone with 18GB RAM. The device has been developed in collaboration with Tencent Games.

The RedMagic 6 Pro ships with an AMOLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate. The integration of Touch Choreographer technology automatically selects the most accurate refresh rate based on your activity. The purpose of this technology is to offer an enhanced viewing experience including the ability to save battery.
According to Nubia, the RedMagic 6 Pro is designed to offer lowest response time with as low as 8ms, which will be ideal for gamers. The handsets also includes CPHY-DSI technology, which increases the transmission rate for high quality images. Moreover, the adoption of the technology make use of 20 to 50 percent reduced power.
The core highlight of the RedMagic 6 smartphones is the addition of ICE 6.0 Multi-dimensional cooling system with an integrated turbofan. The company sources revealed to us that the fan is capable of cranking up to 20000RPM. The canyon air duct mechanism increases the airflow to a large extent. The smartphone also includes 400Hz Dual Pro Shoulder triggers with an RGB strip.
RedMagic 6 Specifications
The RedMagic 6 and pro variants boasts a 6.8-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a resolution of 2400×1080 pixels. Under the hood, the devices are powered by a Snapdragon 888 processor with up to 18GB RAM and 512GB internal storage. The devices are available in 8GB, 12GB, 16GB and 18GB RAM with 128GB, 256GB and 512GB internal storage. The handsets are pre-loaded with redmagic OS 4.0 based on Android 11 operating platform. The in-display fingerprint sensor is accompanied by stereo speakers and three microphones.
Talking about the optics, the RedMagic 6 bears a 64MP primary sensor, 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens and 2MP macro camera sensors respectively. The selfie camera is accompanied by an 8MP sensor. The Redmagic 6 Pro is powered by a 4500mAh battery with 120W fast-charging technology. Meanwhile, the brother RedMagic 6 borrows power via a 5050mAh battery with 66W fast charging support.
RedMagic 6 Pricing & Availability
While RedMagic 6 Pro starts at CNY 4399, the RedMagic 6 is available at a starting price of CNY 3799. The smartphones will be available from March 11 in China. The Global launch of the new RedMagic 6 series will happen on March 16.
