Lava Launches Customizable Smartphone Under Make in India

In a first, Lava has launched the world’s first customizable smartphone under MyZ series. The new handset has been developed exclusively at Lava’s facility in India under Make in India initiative and will be available starting January 11. With the help of the MyZ series, you will be able to pick the components such as camera, memory, colour, and storage capacity directly from the official website of the company. As a customer, you can pick from up to 66 combinations of camera, RAM, ROM, and color depending upon your requirements.

Commenting on the development, a top Lava official disclosed that customers will be able to not only select but also upgrade their smartphones at any time. They will have the freedom to choose front camera, rear camera, RAM, and ROM including color and upgrade from lower configuration to higher configuration. He added that the entire work will be done by Indian talents from their own manufacturing facility.

Lava Mobiles launched Make in India Lava Z1 smartphone with 2GB RAM and military-grade certification at a budget-friendly price of Rs 5499. Moreover, the display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3, which protects your screen against damages. The company also announced the launch of Lava Z2, Lava Z4, and Lava Z6 between Rs 6999 and Rs 10000. The Lava Z series smartphones are equipped with MediaTek processor alongside Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. You will be able to purchase the devices across all major online and offline platforms.

Lava recently qualified for the production linked incentive scheme of the Government. As part of the scheme, the company is eligible for attractive incentives on purchase of handsets below Rs 15000. The company has developed a manufacturing plant with production capacity of 4 crore feature phones and 2.6 crore smartphones per year. In addition to smartphones, Lava also launched BeFIT smartband for Rs 2699. The wearable will be able to measure body temperature, oxygen level, heart rate among other aspects.
