Samsung has started to roll out Android 8.0 Oreo update for the Samsung Galaxy A8 (A530FXXU2BRG1), Galaxy A8 Plus (A730FXXU2BRG1) smartphones. It has been confirmed that the Galaxy A8 and its big brother are being pushed with Oreo update via OTA and Smart Switch desktop application. Samsung disclosed that it will take a few days for the Android 8.0 Oreo update to reach the smartphones because the update is being pushed in a phased manner.
According to reports, the Android 8.0 Oreo update is currently available in Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Ukraine. You can expect the availability of the update in other regions such as Asia within the next few days.
After the installation of the Android 8.0 Oreo update, you will find plenty of improvements and features. Samsung has completely refreshed the UI with easy to use icons via Samsung Experience 9.0, which helps you to get the work done easily in minimum time.
You will also find less bloatware with changes to various apps. It will take a few days to get familiar with the new interface and system. Moreover, the entertainment segment has been refreshed with Dolby Atmos support coupled with 4G VoLTE support. The Wi-Fi and Bluetooth modules are also being refreshed to ensure effective connectivity.
Before proceeding to install the update, you should perform a complete backup of all your files. Although there will be no data loss, it is advisable to backup files for safety purposes. You should also charge the device to more than 80 percent and establish connectivity with Wi-Fi to avoid interruption.
