Sony has officially launched the Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium smartphone with 4K HDR display. The Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium is equipped with curved 3D glass with a mirror finish on the rear side. The main attraction of the Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium is the addition of a 5.8-inch display alongside thin bezels with a massive resolution of 3840×2160 pixels.

The display bears a pixel density of 759 PPI with support for the high-dynamic range. You will not find any other smartphones with this massive pixel density. You will be able to enjoy extra content in a small area. The interesting fact is that the handset is available in chrome black and chrome silver color variants, which will change when exposed to light.

Under the hood, the Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium is integrated with Snapdragon 845 processor, 6GB RAM, 64GB expandable internal storage. You will be able to extend the storage up to 400GB. The rear side offers a dual camera system comprising of 19MP RGB and 12MP monochrome sensors based on Motion Eye technology.

Sony has embedded large-sized dual sensors coupled with a dedicated AUBE fusion image signal processor. The main purpose of this technology is to quickly process image content captured under low-light conditions and also to reduce noise.

The Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium provides high sensitivity up to ISO 51200 for images and ISO 12800 for video. The company sources revealed to us that these features are normally available with professional DSLR camera systems. It is possible to shoot slow motion videos at 960FPS in FHD alongside standard 120FPS videos. Furthermore, the handset also provides support for Bokeh mode.

In addition to 4G LTE, the Xperia XZ2 Premium also provides support for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, GPS including fingerprint sensor on the rear. The device is powered by a 3540mAh battery and is pre-loaded with Android Oreo. Interestingly, the device also provides support for water and dust resistant via IP68 and wireless charging.
