HMD Global has pushed Android 8.0 Oreo update for the Nokia 5 and Nokia 6 smartphones. Juho Sarvikas aka @sarvikas took to Twitter and disclosed the news of the Android Oreo rollout. He mentioned the whole development as Sweeter and Smoother followed by the information that the two smartphones are officially joining the #AndroidOreo family.

The Android Oreo update for Nokia 5 and Nokia 6 is being rolled out in a phased manner. Hence, it will take few days for the new and fresh update to hit your smartphones. If you don’t have patience, you can manually check for the presence of the update by tapping the Settings icon.
Before proceeding to download the update, it is advisable to establish connectivity with Wi-Fi to avoid excess data consumption. The update is a full-blown Android Oreo. Hence, you should charge the device up to 100 percent. Otherwise, you should connect the handset to the AC power source.
Technically, Nokia 5 is equipped with a 5.2-inch IPS HD display, Snapdragon 430 processor, Adreno 505 graphics, 2GB/3GB RAM, 16GB storage, 13MP rear camera coupled with 8MP front-facing camera. A 3000mAh battery supplies the required power to the smartphone.
If you look at the Nokia 6, the handset features a 5.5-inch FHD display, Snapdragon 430 processor, Adreno 505 graphics, 3GB RAM, 32GB storage, 16MP rear camera alongside an 8MP front-facing camera. The device is integrated with the same 3000mAh battery as in the Nokia 5. The main difference between Nokia 5 and Nokia 6 is with the display size and rear camera specification.
