Vivo has launched budget-friendly Vivo Y53i smartphone at Rs 7990. The USP of Vivo Y53i is the integration of Face Unlock capability coupled with Snapdragon 425 processor. Like in the case of the Vivo V9 Youth edition, Mumbai-based Mahesh Telecom has revealed the specifications of the Vivo Y53i handset.
Vivo Y53i Specifications
The Vivo Y53i is equipped with a 5-inch display with a mediocre resolution of 960×540 pixels. The display will be poor because you can buy FHD display smartphones for the same amount from the competitors. Under the hood, the Vivo Y53i features a Snapdragon 425 processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB expandable internal storage.

The rear side features a single camera consisting of an 8MP sensor with LED Flash, while the selfie camera bears a 5MP sensor. You will be able to unlock the device using your face via Face Unlock capability. The device is embedded with a 2500mAh battery. Moreover, the Y53i provides support for 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS.
Vivo Y53i Problem
Ther disadvantage of Y53i is the addition of Android 6.0 Marshmallow, which is a very old platform. We saw the emergence of Android Nougat and Android Oreo. Even though manufacturers are yet to infuse Oreo on a large scale, companies are shipping new devices loaded with Android Nougat, which offers more functionalities.
We are not sure as to whether Vivo will provide an update to Android Nougat for the Y53i smartphone. We would suggest you verify this fact before investing your money because you can now purchase Android Oreo upgradable handsets for the same amount in India. The smartphone will be available for purchase via offline retail stores at Rs 7990. You will get discounts if sold via online channels but not sure about offline mode.
