Vivo has launched Vivo Nex smartphone at an event held in New Delhi. The main attraction of the Vivo Nex is the addition of a pop-up selfie camera coupled with 8GB RAM. Touted as a rehashed version of the Vivo Nex S, the Nex smartphone is powered by a Snapdragon 845 processor. Moreover, the company has integrated a new cooling mechanism, which helps the device to stay cool for an extended time during gaming sessions.

Display

The Vivo Nex is equipped with a 6.59-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED ‘Ultra FullView’ display. The resolution of the screen is 2316×1080 pixels coupled with 19.3:9 aspect ratio.

Vivo Nex Performance

The Vivo Nex is powered by a Snapdragon 845 processor, 8GB RAM, 128GB storage space. The interesting point to note is that the storage space can’t be expanded using microSD card. The handset is pre-loaded with Funtouch OS 4.0 based on Android 8.1 Oreo

Camera

The rear side features dual camera comprising of 12MP and 5MP sensors. While the primary camera offers a f/1.8 aperture with 4-axis OIS, the secondary camera ships with a f/2.4 aperture sensor. The rear camera provides support for LED fill light alongside AR Stickers, slow motion, backlight HDR and Portrait Bokeh. On the front, the Nex carries an 8MP sensor with f/2.0 aperture with face beautification capabilities. The front camera will be placed in a pop-up style to provide room for accommodating bezels.

Connectivity

In addition to 4G VoLTE, the Vivo Nex includes Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, A-GPS including a traditional headphone port. The phone also provides standard sensors alongside an integrated fingerprint sensor.

Price

The Vivo Nex will be available exclusively on Amazon starting July 21 at a massive price of Rs 44990. As part of the launch offer, Amazon is offering a flat discount of Rs 5000 upon exchange of an old working smartphone. You will also receive one-time screen replacement with HDFC cashback offer. The huge cost is attributed to the inclusion of a pop-up selfie camera. We can’t comment on the quality because we didn’t get a review unit.
