Redmi 8A has started to receive MIUI 11 stable update based on Android 10. With version number V126.96.36.199QCPCNXM, the Redmi 8A MIUI 11 stable update measures 1.8GB in size. The MIUI 11 stable update is currently available in China and expected to hit globally within the next two months. The rollout will be slow because of the lockdown due to COVID-19. On the optics, the Redmi 8A features a 12MP Sony IMX363 sensor with LED Flash and dual PD auto focus functionality. The selfie snapper is integrated with an 8MP sensor with an f/2.0 aperture. The phone is resistant to splashes via P2i coating and ships with a headphone port. In addition to 4G VoLTE, the Redmi 8A provides support for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, GLONASS, and a USB Type-C port for faster charging.
Xiaomi has rolled out the update in a phased manner. It will take few days for the new bits to hit your device. You will receive an update message notification when the new update is available.
