FAU-G Reportedly Surfaces on Google Play for a Short Time
  • PublishedDecember 1, 2020

The Fearless and United Guards (FAU-G), the much-awaited replacement to PUB-G has been reportedly surfaced on the Google Play Store. However, we are unable to locate the app when we searched on the Play Store. If you are able to install FAU-G, then you are now eligible for pre-registration. The company will initially roll out FAU-G to Android users followed by iOS version. You will have to wait longer to test the game on your iOS device.

The FAU-G game was announced soon after the Government of India banned PUBG Mobile in India along with 117 other Chinese apps in September 2020. The developers of the FAU-G game have been aggressively promoting the game with patriotic touch on the first teaser released on October 25, which highlights the contribution of the Armed forces.

If you had already registered, you will receive a push notification, which automatically notifies you when the game is available for download. You will have to install the game but we don’t know the overall size of the game. We infer the overall size of the game will be around 1.5 GB and you will have to make use of the Wi-Fi to download the game.

According to reports, the FAU-G will have a level that resembles Galwan Valley clashes between Indian and Chinese forces along the Line of Actual Control. However, as per the description, the whole gameplay will be most likely revolves around Indian Soldiers and their resolve to fight and protect the country.

The characters included in the game will be named FAU-G commandos, which is an elite group of Indian soldiers patrolling the dangerous territory. FAU-G is developed by Bengaluru-based nCore Games in partnership with Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar. Even though the developers had announced the launch of the game in November itself, the delays caused the glitch. It could be either technical or logistical when it comes to the arrangement of servers. The company has already announced that 20 percent of the overall revenue generated from the game will be donated to Bharat Ke Veer, which is a trust formed by the Government for the families of soldiers killed at the LOC.

It is to be noted that PUBG is on a verge of comeback with India-specific elements coupled with Microsoft Azure-hosted servers in India. The data will be stored in Microsoft-hosted servers based in India. Meanwhile, FAU-G has been building on anti-China sentiment, which is very high in India. The teaser reportedly emulates the Galwan valley across the LAC. The recent clashes have claimed the lives of 20 Indian soldiers. China hasn’t revealed any casualty numbers. The FAU-G game also features brawler mechanics, which emulates violent episodes realistically. If FAU-G becomes a hit, then it will be a big success for AtmaNirbharBharat initiative, formulated by Prime minister Narendra Modi.
