Xiaomi has launched the much-awaited Redmi Note 5 in China in Black, Blue, Gold, and Rose Gold color variants. The main attraction of the Xiaomi redmi Note 5 is the integration of Android Oreo coupled with quick charge functionality. Moreover, the smartphone ships with support for the AI-enabled dual camera.
On the specifications front, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 is equipped with a 5.99-inch FHD+ 2.5D curved glass display with 18:9 aspect ratio. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The Redmi Note 5 offers a Snapdragon 636 processor, Adreno graphics, 3GB/4GB/6GB RAM alongside 32GB and 64GB expandable internal storage. The device is pre-loaded with MIUI 9 on top of Android 8.1 Oreo platform.
The handset is equipped with a dual camera comprising of 12MP and 5MP sensors with support for dual tone dual LED flash. On the front, the Note 5 features a 13MP sensor with support for LED Flash and FHD video recording capability. In addition to a fingerprint sensor, the redmi note 5 also offers an Infrared sensor using which you can control TV and home theater systems.
Apart from 4G VoLTE, the Redmi Note 5 also provides support for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5, GPS, and GLONASS. A powerful 4000mAh battery supplies the required power with support for Quick Charge 3.0. The 3GB RAM model is priced at CNY 1099, while the 4GB RAM will cost CNY 1399. The premium model with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage will cost your pockets CNY 1699.
