Xiaomi has launched the much-awaited Xiaomi Mi A2 smartphone in India at an attractive price. The highlight of the Mi A2 is the integration of a 5.99-inch FHD+ IPS display coupled with Snapdragon 660 processor. Moreover, the handset is pre-loaded with Android One base on Android 8.0 Oreo. The company sources revealed to us that the smartphone will receive updates from Google on a continuous basis.

Display

The Xiaomi Mi A2 is equipped with a 5.99-inch FHD+ (18:9, 403PPI) IPS display with a resolution of 2160×1080 pixels.

Performance

Powered by a Snapdragon 660 processor, the Xiaomi Mi A2 carries Adreno 512 graphics, 4GB/6GB RAM, 32GB/64GB internal storage loaded with Android One.

Camera

Like in the case of all the premium smartphones, the Xiaomi Mi A2 features dual rear cameras comprising of 12MP primary and 20MP secondary camera sensors with f/1.8 aperture. While the 12MP primary sensor offers 1.25um, the 20MP sensor comes with 1.0um pixel size. Moreover, you can shoot 2160P videos at 30fps and FHD videos at 30fps with EIS support. On the front, the Mi A2 ships with a 20MP sensor with f/2.2 aperture. The phone will be suitable for videography because you can record FHD videos at 30fps.

Battery

The Xiaomi Mi A2 is powered by a 3000mAh battery with Quick Charge 4.0+ support. You will be able to charge the handset via the USB Type-C port. In addition to 4G VoLTE, the Mi A2 provides support for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS, and BDS. Unlike other Xiaomi smartphones, you won’t find the presence of a 3.5mm headphone port. Xiaomi has bundled a 3.5mm to Type C adapter along with the product package. The device also comes with a fingerprint sensor alongside FaceUnlock technology.

Pricing

The Xiaomi Mi A2 will be available exclusively on Amazon India, Mi.com starting August 16 at Rs 16999. You can also purchase the handset via Mi Home stores across India. You will be able to purchase the smartphone in five color variants.
