OnePlus has pushed Oxygen OS 9.0 stable update for OnePlus 6. The company has started to push Oxygen OS 9.0 based on Android 9.0 Pie to users working with OnePlus 6. As usual, the update will be made available via OTA and will hit the devices in a phased manner. However, the initial update will be available only to select users and based on the feedback the new update will be rolled out to users at large.
The latest Oxygen OS 9.0 update includes several features related to UI and UX including gesture navigation included with Android Pie. The addition of Adaptive Battery support automatically detects the usage patterns of apps. Moreover, the technology prevents the battery from draining. The upcoming OnePlus 6T will be pre-loaded with Oxygen OS 9.0 user interface.
The Oxygen OS 9.0 platform includes a refreshed Gaming Mode 3.0, which displays notifications related to text messages and calls. In addition to Android Pie specific features, the Oxygen OS 9.0 stable update also ships with September 2018 Android security patch.
The size of the Oxygen OS 9.0 measures 1.52GB and hence you should establish connectivity with Wi-Fi before proceeding to download the update. Moreover, you should charge the device up to 100 percent to avoid interruptions. If you have access to OnePlus 6, you should verify the presence of the update.
